Guatemala: Adoption Program
The future stability of the Guatemala adoption program is unsure as the United States and Guatemala work to implement Hague International Adoption standards. At this time the Guatemala program is closed. Small World continues to monitor Guatemala. Small World hopes to operate in Guatemala again when Guatemala has restructured its law to fit the Hague Convention and begins allowing international adoption again. At this time though Guatemala is not participating in inter-country adoption.
